Program information

  • Are classes online or in person?

All classes are in person.

  • Are you accredited by the California department of public health?

Yes, our program is approved and accredited by the California department of public health. You can go to CDPH website and search for our school in Santa Clara county.

  • Do i need to have a high school diploma?

No, high school diploma is not a requirement.

  • Do you offer weekend program?

Yes, we have weekday as well as weekend programs. Please refer to our Schedule page for details.

  • Do you run classes year round?

Yes, we run all our programs Weekday AM, Weekday PM and Weekend throughout the year. Please go to our Schedule page to check upcoming class dates.

  • How do i schedule my state exam?

You can find all the information about your state exam on the “Credentia” website.

  • How long is the training program?

Our CNA training program consists of 21 days of training, which includes classroom learning, as well as clinical training. For more information please check our Enroll page.

  • How many days after classes do students take the exam?

We recommend that students take the exam as soon as possible after completing the training. Most of our students take their exam within a week of completion of the CNA training.

  • I am not covid vaccinated. Can i still take the program?

If you are not vaccinated, you can still join the program. During the clinical training you will be asked to go through a weekly COVID testing.

  • What if I were to miss a class?

We provide make up classes in the the event student has to miss a particular day of class. However note that this can delay the student’s graduation by a few days depending on the availability of a make up class for the missed module(s).

Please note that make up classes are provided only when student has to miss a class due to an emergency. Missed days must be limited to a maximum of 2 in the whole session.

  • What is the size of a typical class?

Class size is generally between 10 – 15 students.

  • Where are the Clinical facilities located?

We partner with a few different clinical facilities for providing clinical training to our students. All these facilities are located in Santa Cruz and San Jose area.

  • Where are you located?

Caring Hands School of Nursing is located at “6155 Almaden Expwy, STE 130 San Jose, CA 95120”.

  • Will I be provided a uniform or scrubs?

Yes we provide a set of scrubs that students need to wear during clinical training. There is no dress code for the theory / class room part of the training.

Enrollment

  • Do you have a waitlist?

Yes, if the class you are looking for is full, you can submit a request to be added to waitlist.

  • How do I enroll?

You can enroll on our website, by phone or in person

  • How do i get my Live Scan and when do I need to submit it?

You need to visit a live scan facility and submit your live scan to initiate back ground screening. We need a copy of your live scan request form on first day of your class. Please note that as you long as you have “initiated” the live scan before your 1st day of class, you can start the training.

  • How old does the TB clearance report need to be, I have a TB clearance certificate from September 2022?

TB clearance report must be with in a year of your CNA training start date.

  • I do not have a drivers license or state ID. Can I still join?

You can submit your passport copy, or school ID as an identification proof, and join our CNA training program.

  • What is the minimum age to enroll in CNA training?

16 years of age

FEE and Payments

  • Do you have an installment plan?

No, we do not offer installment plan.

  • Do you provide Financial Aid?

No, we do not offer financial aid.

  • How do I cancel my enrollment?

Please send an email to education@caringhandsschool.com Cancellations can only be done through email.

  • How much is the tuition fee?

Our CNA program tuition fee is $2,100. This fee includes charges for books, scrubs and supplies. However, it does not include charges for Live Scan Fee ($60+) and the state examination fee ($120).

  • What method of payments do you accept?

We accept Cash, Check, credit card or debit card.
